Repeat Prescriptions

redpill2

Medication requests can be sent to us in the following ways:

  • Online request via the NHSApp or SystmOnline if you have previously registered for these services
  • Via your usual Pharmacy, either in person or by telephone if the Pharmacy is happy to take requests on your behalf
  • Via a previous prescription token that may have been issued by the Pharmacy
  • Written requests, either in person or posted to us, but we do not accept self-addressed envelopes to return prescriptions as we are now electronic

Please note, that we cannot take prescription requests over the phone due to our Reception team not being clinical.  This is to mitigate errors and frees up our telephone lines for other patient calls.

We aim to turn around prescription requests within 7 days of receiving the request.

Online Ordering

If you are already registered for our online appointments system, you are automatically registered for this service and can start ordering repeat medication immediately.

If you are not registered for our online appointments system but wish to order repeat medication, you will first need to register.  Simply visit one of our reception desks and the receptionist will register you for SystmOnline.  Alternatively, you can order medication on the NHS App.

Once registered for SystmOnline, click here to sign in to order your repeat medication.

Please note that your normal pharmacy or reception desk will be where you collect your prescription from, unless you have electronic prescriptions where you will collect your medication directly from the pharmacy you have nominated.

Travelling Abroad?

For patients who will be abroad, we can provide sufficient medications for an existing condition for up to 3 months only*.  As a practice, we align ourselves with national and local prescribing guidance and regulations.  We can supply ongoing medication during a temporary period but, if a patient is going to be away for longer than 3 months, the NHS advice is to register with local health services in that country for their continuing medical needs.
