If you are already registered for our online appointments system, you are automatically registered for this service and can start ordering repeat medication immediately.
If you are not registered for our online appointments system but wish to continue ordering repeat medication, you will first need to register. Simply visit one of our reception desks and the receptionist will register you for this service.
Once registered, click here to sign into SystmOnline to order your repeat medication.
Please note that your normal pharmacy or reception desk will be where you collect your prescription from, unless you have electronic prescriptions where you will collect your medication directly from the pharmacy you have nominated.
For paper prescriptions, we aim to fulfil repeat medication requests on the 3rd working day. This will enable us sufficient time to process your request.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
If you have recently been discharged from the Royal United Hospital in Bath and have any questions about the medication you have been prescribed, you can now call the Medicines Helpline on 01225 825361.
