Bathampton Dental Practice

Practice Description

surgery1s.jpgBathampton Dental Practice is situated within a health centre shared with The Pulteney Practice at Bathampton Surgery. The building was converted and modernised to a health centre in 1997 and Bathampton Dental Practice opened in 2003.

Dr Carl Fullaway qualified from Bristol in 1999 . He has a clinical attachment working at the hospital in Dorchester developing his orthodontic skills and is working towards his diploma in post graduate dental studies.

The Surgery

The dental practice is fully computerised with two modern surgeries equipped with fibre optics, digital x-rays etc. There is a nice modern calming feel to the building with a little garden in the middle.

NHS and Private Treatment

We are not currently accepting NHS patients. Fees and guidelines for NHS treatment are set by the Department of Health. We work within this structure with respect to the amount of time spent with each patient, the dental materials used and the dental laboratory. In some circumstances the dentist may suggest a private alternative, for example to achieve the best cosmetic result. If you do not wish to have private treatment, appropriate NHS treatment will be provided. As we set our own private fees we can allow more time for each patient, we are not restricted with respect to the materials used and we obtain superior laboratory work . Fees for private treatment are calculated taking into account surgery time, the cost of materials and laboratory bills.

For private patients, we also offer the 'Denplan' payment scheme." For an affordable monthly payment you receive all the necessary care from your dentist to help you maintain a healthy mouth for life." This includes National and Worldwide emergency dental cover. Click here or ask the dentist for further information. Payment is expected at the end of each appointment. If you are unsure of the cost of treatment please ask your dentist.

Special Services for Patients

Bathampton surgery has wheelchair access and facilities. When you arrange your first appointment please tell us if you have any special requirements. Some people suffer from deep seated anxieties about dentistry; we understand and strive to make your experience as pleasant as possible. Children are always welcome however young. We aim to prevent dental disease rather than treat it at a later date and try to make coming to the dentist a fun experience not a scary one.

If any aspect of your dental appearance concerns you, no matter how trivial it may seem, please discuss it with us.
